Our Story
I started Steel City Roofing in 2016 after ten years working for a bigger contractor in Rotherham, where I watched too many jobs get rushed to hit a quota. Flashing left loose, felt cut short to save an afternoon. I set up on my own so I could do the job properly and stand behind it afterwards.
We joined the NFRC in 2019 once we had the track record to back it up, and every re-roof since has come with a written guarantee. It's still a small team, me and three roofers, and I'm on site for most jobs rather than just quoting them.
Nine years on we've worked on roofs from Nether Edge terraces to new builds out at Doncaster, and the same rule still applies: if it's not right, we go back up and fix it.
